About Me

Sydney is a science writer for Newsweek covering climate change, the environment, and other science stories. She graduated from New York University with a degree in journalism and global public health with a concentration in anthropology in May 2017.

She has interned for the Miami Herald, The Rachel Maddow Show, and ThinkProgress. She has also written for various blogs and websites, and worked in New York and Buenos Aires on public health research related to nutrition and obesity. During her time in college, she studied abroad in Buenos Aires for two semesters and spent two months in Accra for a journalism program.
